I was in the Hague last week visiting HC, and I ran into (almost literally) this bundle of hanging cheese, roped and herded for a street market. (Is there a word for this — like bushel of apples, lug of cherries, or peck of pickled peppers?) Click on photo for full image.
Caught a performance of Handel’s gorgeous Susanna with Les Arts Florissants at the Concertgebouw while I was there. My mobile listening device is flooded with Handel this last month. Obsessing a little over Andrew Manze’s recording with Richard Egarr of the Opus I sonatas, and Carolyn Sampson’s album of German arias. So so beautiful. The guy is a real heart breaker.
