yes, but where’s the gingham carrot?

One of the great things about a Wednesday ballet gig at the Gina Gibney studios is emerging from the subway right into the crowds on the Union Square farmers market. While much is overpriced, carrots never seem to break the bank. I took home a stunning bunch of colored carrots, which I cooked into a soup today (carrots, broth, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, salt&ppr, cream).
