I grew up listening to Alicia de Larrocha’s recordings of Mozart sonatas, recommended by my piano teacher when I was about eight.  Sad to hear of Ms. de Larrocha’s passing.  But thinking of her reminded me of the time when I used to play the theme from K331 over and over, trying to figure out what about it made me want to cry.  (Turns out it was simply chords in first inversion.  Amazing.)
