I could be wrong, or trite, or off the golden path of righteousness, in saying this. But I think that last night’s concert was something … very special. It was the premiere performance of a new vocal ensemble, Roomful of Teeth, and I was lucky to have been a part of it all. The time from 7:58-9:05pm on june 26th, 2009, and the 19 days prior.

I keep thinking of Rzewki’s “Coming Together”. And, come to think of it, “Moutons de Panurge” (since there was a bit of a shepherdess theme throughout our yodel-y bits). These three weeks during our residency at Williams and Mass MoCA yielded a, ahem, coming together of . . . cultures? . . . discrete and beautiful personalities? . . . vestibular folds?
